About

  • Her Name isn't Jane is the product of Marilyn Grijalva and Letty Gomez. Two sisters, just 14 months apart, born to a single mother and raised as practical twins. They have many interests that run parallel, as does their love of true crime, but they’ve noticed, all too often, the victims of crimes in marginalized communities go unnoticed. While crime in any community is horrible, they want to shed light on crimes in these communities. While focusing on the victims who are often unheard, unseen, and sometimes unnamed, their goal is to present a medium of entertainment that is not only engaging but asks the tough questions and leads listeners to ask even more questions. Through these questions, the hope is that awareness is spread, beyond our communities, to the mainstream in order to result in justice or at the least exposure to the crimes happening in our communities. All voices deserve to be heard, and all victims deserve justice.

  • Marilyn is still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up. Currently a student, working on a degree in human resources, she loves all living things and has a zoo at home. She spends her free time drinking good beer and petting all the baby dogs. She's been called a mean girl, but she's really just a big baby with a mean girl exterior . She grew up watching lots of social injustices happen right in front of her . It's affected her personally and that's what drives her to want to bring this idea to light .

  • Married to her high school sweetheart and the mother of adult children, She spends her free time binging TV. A teacher by trade, and a student by choice, she spent most of her life wondering why her surroundings in Southern California looked different than the California presented on TV. Letty devoted herself to her studies and learned that these differences were not a figment of her imagination. Bringing us here, to a space where we can discuss these discrepancies with a focus on injustice.
